PS5 restock UPDATE: Stock imminent of new console

UK update: The latest news to come out of the UK this week reveals that both Game and Amazon UK should have stock ready to drop from between 10-21 May. You can already buy the Duel Sense Wireless controller, and some PS5 games at these retailers too.

US update: The latest US PS5 news to drop early this week is that Best Buy will have PS5 stock to sell – as early as tomorrow! It’s been a month since the American online retailer has has stock, and if previous selling patterns are to be repeated, stock may be released on early Friday afternoon, Eastern Time.

If you’ve been looking for PS5 restock in the last few months, you’ll be forgiven to think that it’s all doom and gloom, with tout bots snapping any precious stock seconds into a release. And though there is some truth to that, there have in fact been some positive news recently that we’d rather concentrate on.

We’ve seen PS5 restock released from the likes of GameStop, Best Buy and Walmart in the last few weeks. All of which gives us hope that regular, small batch releases will continue to be a strategy for these big retailers, until Sony fulfils its promise of releasing a massive number of PS5 consoles later in the year.

So, if you want to get a PS5 sooner rather than later, you’re best bet is to keep an eagle eye on the below retailers that have shown good form in releasing PS5 restock fairly frequently, albeit with short notice. A note of warning, though: Bot touts are still in operation, as it (somehow) still remains legal. So make sure your expectations are realistic! You will be able to get a new PS5 console, but only if you’re fully committed to keeping on top of these retailers (step one: Bookmark this page for up-to-date links).

Confident that you’ll bag a PS5 console? Why not get one of the best monitors for PS5? Meanwhile, if you’re looking to save money on that other major gaming console out there, take a look at the cheapest Xbox deals available right now.

PS5 or PS5 Digital Edition?

It’s been seven years since the last Sony PlayStation console, the PS4, and a lot has happened in the advance of games consoles. The PS5 threatens to be a huge leap in gaming, and there are a host of amazing games confirmed for the platform.

There are pros and cons for getting the PS5 digital edition. First, you save a cool $100 compared to the ‘normal’ PS5 console. You also don’t need to get the physical games, instead downloading them digitally. But then, some people love the physical games, and they retain a certain value, which you can sell off later. In the end, it’s a matter of taste. In all other respects, you’re getting the same amazing console.

Here are some more great PS5 deals, for both the PS5 and PS5 Digital Edition.
